Let’s be honest, signage isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s more like a choose-your-own-adventure. And with Wayfindit’s Custom Fields, you’re the author, the editor, and the director of every sign’s story.

Whether you’re coordinating a hospital overhaul, launching a campus-wide refresh, or rolling out a brand update across dozens of locations, Custom Fields give you the power to capture what matters without the clutter.

What Are Custom Fields?

Glad you asked. Custom Fields are your backstage pass to more innovative signage. They’re editable, flexible, and totally yours. Add them to any sign in your project to include extra context, quirky instructions, or mission-critical specs.

Need to note dimensions? Drop in a short answer field for “Height, Width, Depth.” Want to track install quirks? Add a long-form “Notes” field. Color coding? Multiple choice. Vinyl backer? Yes/No toggle. You get the idea; if you think about it, you can field it.

How It Works

It’s all baked into your sign library. Pick a sign, hit the edit icon, and head to the “Fields” tab. Our beta field editor makes adding new fields a breeze.

Choose your format: short answer, long answer, multiple choice, yes/no, number, date, and label it however you like. Once added, your fields will appear in the sign editor and be ready for action. Plot it on your plan, check your data, and tweak as needed. No sweat.

Want to tag stairwells? Add a “Stair ID.” Need to track install notes? Drop in a “Message” field, it’s that simple.

Why It Matters

Custom Fields aren’t just about flexibility but clarity, speed, and sanity. They keep your team aligned, cut down on back-and-forth, and make sure every sign lands in the right spot with the correct info.

And because Wayfindit is built for the field, it works whether you’re online, offline, or deep in a concrete basement. Your data stays with you, wherever your signage adventure takes you.
